Position Description: The Senior Forecast Analyst is responsible for working with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to develop monthly and annual sales forecasts for J&J Consumer Company franchises. Specific responsibilities will include:
Position Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in business or an analytical discipline is required. A Masters Degree and/or MBA are preferred. The candidate that we seek will have a minimum of 3 years of overall business experience with a minimum of 2 years of analytical experience. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of previous forecasting experience. Previous business partnering skills are required. Previous experience in a consumer products environment with hands-on knowledge of market mix modeling and other statistical modeling techniques is preferred. Knowledge of the consumer products industry, experience working with syndicated data (i.e. IRI, Nielson, etc) as well as prior Sales, Marketing and/or Demand Management experience is preferred. Six Sigma training/certification (Certified Black Belt or Green Belt) is preferred. Other required skills will include: Strong interdependent partnering and influencing skills. Creative problem solving and strong analytical skills to investigate and reduce forecast error and to predict unit volume and share performance. Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate complex forecast approaches into terms clearly understood by various client groups including senior management. Careful attention to detail and strong organizational skills, as forecasts, information and analysis produced are extensively viewed and relied upon by senior management. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products with particular emphasis on Excel skills. Demonstrated leadership skills are required for potential future professional growth. Ability to work independently, typically initiating own tasks with input/guidance from manager and/or director. Ability to thrive in a matrix and cross-functional team environment.
